Generally, tropical fruits cannot be stored at low temperature, such as banana, carambola, loquat, pitaya, mango, litchi, longan, papaya, rambutan, etc. These fruits are not suitable to put in the
fruit cabinet, because the low temperature will frostbite the fruit. Generally, these fruits should be placed in the display place with high temperature. These tropical fruits need to be stored in a dark and cool place. If there is special need, they should be stored in low temperature conditions, and should not be more than two days.
Temperate fruits, such as apples, pears, grapes in the fruit cabinet, can play a good preservation effect.
Normal temperature or fruit preservation cabinet can: lemon, pineapple, grape, orange, olive, green jujube, apple, watermelon, orange, coconut, grapefruit, sugarcane, durian, etc.
The fruits that must be kept in the fruit fresh-keeping cabinet are: peach, mulberry, plum, cherry, chestnut, guava, grape, pear, strawberry, melon, grapefruit, etc.
In addition, there is a scientific preservation technique: fruits and vegetables are stored in plastic bags at low temperature, which can reduce the concentration of low oxygen, increase the concentration of carbon dioxide, make the fruits and vegetables in a dormant state, and extend the storage period. However, the storage time should not be too long. Open the mouth of the plastic bag every two or three days to release carbon dioxide and heat, and then close the mouth, which will reduce the occurrence of decay and degeneration.
